@Magus As i know all to well (across the state line), we have a humidity problem here in the south. We've had tons of rain this summer. I've been battling spots of mold. An air conditioner helps. My air fryer and oven, gas cooktop... all dry the air. When my a/c needs help with humidity I'll purposely use an oven. Better to be hot than slimy and hot.
Next I keep everything clean. It's a constant battle to keep out any clutter, especially clutter. It blocks air flow. This activity keeps dry air moving. I have a couple spray bottles with water/clorox mix to hit spots. I have a heavy duty construction fan to move air also.
And... on the west side of the house are 2, 12x12 rooms that are closed off. Gets a lot of sun, has the gas clothes dryer, washer, freezers, hot water tank (also has a big window fan). The air back there stays fairly dry. When its really humid at my end of the house I'll push the dry air from back there with big fans.
I have to crank the a/c for a bit because it gets hot... but this keeps away the bits of white mold that seems to like the cabinet doors under the ktch sink and vanity, near water, very humid!!
But no matter the type of mold, git rid of it, period. Not good for people to live with it.
