I confess I joined a while ago and have been poking around your preps but never intoed myself. My husband and I live in the "boondocks". Our nearest neighbor is 3 miles away, so just to live in our area you have to prep. We have a garden every summer, chickens, and beef cattle that we could milk if we had too. I feel we definately have meat, and probably home canned veggies for a year if necessary. We have enough firepower to defend ourselves and our elementary age kids are also good shots. I have a few questions that I will soon post in the food forum.

Zankota, Feel free to ask. I am not a home canning expert, but when I was in the military, amongst my many other duties, I was a certified Food Inspector, USDA and military trained. Regards
