The Mississippi Legislature finally caved and voted to take it off the state flag. I think if they had let the voters make the decision they would have voted to change it, but they were getting a full court press from outside to make the change immediately.

Georgia did the same thing without letting the voters decide, and if Georgia is any indicator, there is gonna be a bloodbath in the November election.

But most people don't know the whole story about the Georgia flag.
The Flag the Georgia Legislature came up with was awful. It broke every rule of good flag design and was roundly ridiculed.

So....

They let the voters pick another new flag design and this is what was chosen:

This flag was PERFECTLY acceptable to the left, to the media, to the blacks, to the SEC, etc. Georgia had put their racist past away and done away with the Confederate symbol on the flag.

RIGHT???

Just to show you how UTTERLY IGNORANT the left is about history, the official flag of the Confederacy was called the "Stars and Bars" and it looked like this:

My Great Grandmother full blooded Southern Cheyenne would always talk of her father and say the gray coats were always welcome on Cheyenne land and felt comforted when they seen the gray coats war flag, she always talked in the past. My dads side of the family fought under it. I have absolutely no shame in the flag whats so ever.

The Five Civilized Tribes in Oklahoma territory agreed to be annexed to the CSA if they won. The Confederacy was going to make Oklahoma a state of the CSA right away giving the Indians full citizenship in the CSA and also their own sovereign state. Things had been going south between the Indians and the US government for a while.

I seem to recall a flag similar to that being sewn by the fort commanders wife for the burial mortally wounded 'Trooper Smith' in the film She Wore a Yellow Ribbon.
It's a great shame our history is being changed right in front of our eyes.
