Excerpt: "A shooting in New Orleans on Saturday evening left three people dead and seven others injured, authorities said. The gunfire broke out around 8:30 p.m. local time outside Chicken & Watermelon, a restaurant on South Claiborne Avenue – about 3 miles from the French Quarter, the Times-Picayune reported.

Two individuals wearing "hooded-style" clothing, one with a handgun and the other with a shotgun, opened fire on a crowd of people, FOX 8 New Orleans reported. Afterward, the suspects fled on foot, the report said."

Hunny and I went there about 18 years ago and even then it was high crime. Had to stay in the tourist areas with the crowds. New Orleans is a beautiful town with all it architecture and full of history, which are things I love. Went to my first casino there. . . Didn't gamble, just walked thru because I had never seen the inside before. But its also a place I will probably never go back to because that place has just gotten way out of hand. So no more brunch at Brennan's, who by the way makes a wonderful crab meat omelet or eating at any of the quaint cafes along the French Quarter.

Just one more Liberal city with potential turned into another cesspool.
