I have use a carabiner as my keychain for years. Same one for at least 6 years. I am extremely anal about my keychain and it's time for a new one. I have seen those survival lanyard with the can openers and whistle etc etc. And the stuff like the Gerber shard and other multi tools

What you guys have? What do you recommend?

been looking at the paracord kits and the ones similar to the shard.... does anyone have them or actually use them?

I personally use and recommend:
1. A small LED light
2. A screwdriver multi-tool (like those pictured above, but one that has a phillips side too)
3. Koubatai (sp?) weapon
4. Carabiner

I don't like a huge keychain, so I keep other things elsewhere as EDC items:

Wallet:
2 different credit card size multi-tools (various wrench sizes, etc.)
Credit card size, removable lock pick set

Pocket:
Gerber multi-tool
Lighter
