i sent my SIL a picture of a pair of boots that had been repurposed into a purse [see image below]
She volunteers at a Church Thrift store
I asked if she saw some used boots to holler at me. I wanted a pair to copy the design and make a boot purse
a week later she text me back and said she saw a ornate pair of boots. I told her to grab them i would get them from her latter.
She texted back sure and then she had the boots.
I asked what did i owe her
she told me $200'00 I said WHAT????
She said thats a bargain they were on sale
WHAT sale? At a thrift store? I was expecting to no more than $20
No, these were from the boutique down the street

LOL DAMN. I am shaking my head ... I assumed and she assumed and my pocket is really MAD
I have not seen them yet, Aint no way I am going to re coop on this deal

That hurts, but perhaps once you get the process figured out , you could offer to make purses from mostly worn out boots of sentimental value??

I agree with Tired, make them for sentimental reasons or their favorite boot. I can guarantee you take something like that to Congress in Columbus Ohio you would sell them.
most of those that attend have more money than brains. No offense if anyone goes.

Here in montana they would sell, people have $10K horses in a $80K trailer pulled by a $70K pickup so a few hundred for a purse ........
