FRODO made some pipe holders for me. I wanted to show a couple of them in use. They are awesome, the rustic one with the lacing is my favorite.
If you have any need of high quality leather goods, I would recommend you talk to Frodo about it. I've been highly impressed with the things I have gotten from him.

I tapped on your pix to get a better view. Those are pretty cool! Like having Gandalf around with his pipe…wait, how tall did you say you are? 🧙‍♂️
Just a little guy. Only 6-4.
The Gandalf pipe, actually called a Churchwarden, is brand new too. It smokes sooo good, and I found the perfect tobacco for it.
The leather works great for my smaller pipes, but that one is out of balance in it. But its perfect for what I wanted. Frodo even stamped in BACPACKER on them for me. VERY COOL

I am thoroughly enjoying them. They are perfect. Only down side, my Churchwarden pipe is too heavy on the stem end. Have to stand it up more vertically.
AWESOME work
So...just spit balling here
If the holder raised up on one end like 2". Would the pedestal hold it up?

Thats the one I was thinking of, but turn the pipe aound. Not sure how the bowl would set.
Let me think on that a bit
That's what I wasjabbering about
The bowl sits in a hole and the stem is held up.
Great minds.

I have been known to smoke a pipe back in my wild and wooly days.
Just so you know I like a good cigar as much as the next guy.
And yes there is a story behind that statement.
I would love to sit around a camp fire
And here that story.
Let mebplay around with the pipe tomorrow night. Ill figure it out, maybe. 😅

Gotta hit the shower and sack tonight

Frodo that wasn't what I had in mind, but looks interesting and deserves some thought for sure. Dont think I've ever saw one made that way
