Morality and tradition start measuring their junk.
The least qualified to run things are the ones running things.
When prices go up, they never come back down.
The "truckdriver/blue collar/veteran become folk heroes.
Country music starts to sound like 70's protest music.
beer and alcohol stay the same price for most of the duration of whatever is wrong.
Vintage styles and items surge in popularity. (Probably because you can't afford new stuff.)
Older music, movies, and TV get popular again.
The "party hardy" generation of a decade before all are face-palming and saying "What the hell kids?!"
Freaks and geeks have spurts of "rock star" status.
Television and movies turn to absolute propaganda and rubbish!
Everyone thinks the Apocalypse will be here by dawn tomorrow.

My 2am observation (2:20am), if there is a cat in the bathroom something is wrong. Had to pee, one of the cats had a scorpion cornered. He kept it at bay until I could whack it with my slipper!

Mine were that I could probably fix the sticking knob on my food processor by using wd-40. It worked.
And that the reason my black chihuahua is having stool issues is that DH had me change her diet without doing it gradually. Gave her a little sweet potato this morning and she is better now.
I think I do more thinking in the middle of the night than during the day! And solve more problems.
