Blue heelers are awesome. I've heard cowboys say keep your hands to yourself if you see a heeler on a truck bed.

Heelers are wonderful dogs, but if they don't know you they can be grouchy. My pops had one that showed up at his farm as a stray and adopted him. He was her person and she was very protective of him and his property. She even bit a traveling salesman! Served him right for putting his hand on a strange dog...Rated (R) isn't it?

Our doge is part heeler (her mom was all heeler), is about 11 y.o. (I think she's older but daughter says no) and still high strung. She's a good protector and people are wary of her. We've had a blue heeler since about 2010-11 high strung animal and only calmed down after he was old IE 8-10 YO
