This plant processes 500,000+ barrels of crude per day. They make primarily gasoline, but also butyl and ingredients for plastic. Any disruption at any refinery will impact the price of fuel, even if other refinerys ramp up production. And of course once the price goes up it will never drop to pre "disaster" level.

How much of the finished gasoline was scheduled for overseas shipment? Secondly, it occurs to me this accident benefits the Biden Junta since they can now claim they are not primarily responsible for any further gasoline price increases. Was this really an accident? Word is the CIA has military units inside Ukraine to stage a (another) chemical attack and blame it on Russia. Compared to that, causing a little mischief in an oil refinery is nothing.
