Sure...a handgun is much easier to conceal than an AR.

And the kid shooter(s) who were using them stole them from their parents. ( who I think should face prosecution for NOT having their firearms secured to begin with...)

Which means they had to sneak it both out of their house and into the school.

That's Bull $h!#, we had all kinds of guns when I was growing up, and they were NOT secured !..............

Well then Tom...

I guess you were brought up right !!

And you aren't mentally deficient...like all the deranged mass shooters tend to be.

I too was taught at a young age to respect firearms...and still do to this day.

And yes...back in my day...people could walk down the street carrying a squirrel gun and people wouldn't panic and call the law. Those days are gone...at least in the major cities.

Hell, in Pennsylvania...between Philly and Pittsburgh, people still can walk down the main street open carrying a firearm.

And except for my and my Wife's EDC...all the rest of our firearms reside in 2 American Security safes. I feel safer that they are locked up...so that they cannot be readily stolen or used against us.

I agree with both of you. The parents should face prosecution, for not parenting and standing idly by while their little shits grew into a threat to the security of the population; just like having pit-bulls.
You raise a dangerous animal and let it get loose and hurt people, you will go to jail. This should be absolutely no different.

BTW...

Existing Access Prevention Laws:

Not all access prevention laws are mandatory. In fact most, currently, are not.

~ According to Handgun Control Inc.'s (now called the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence) state summaries of access prevention laws, Hawaii is the only state where "safe storage" is mandatory.

~ According to Handgun Control, Inc.'s Child Access Prevention ( CAP ) Laws and Gun Owner Responsibility page... there are 19 other states and several cities that have enacted legislation making it a crime to leave a loaded firearm where it is accessible by children.

BUT, they ain't NONE of them BS laws stopped the mass shootings !..................

That IS correct...

NO argument from me...an NRA LIFE Member since 1977.

I was JUST stating and listing the hard facts of todays current reality.

All the laws on the books will NOT STOP a sick mind from killing innocents...NONE !!!

I hope I've made myself clear.
