I just wanted to wish everyone on the forum a Merry ope you are all with people you care about and are warm, dry and well fed this holiday season, and for many more to come.
I have had 3 brothers die so my nearest living brother is coming on Monday to spend the night. My mom lives here most of the year so we are having a little Christmas dinner. Nothing says Christmas like my mom's fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Merry Christmas to all.

Hey Brent, you aren't the real Brent S. pictured are you?

Yeah, just without the intellect.... My sense of humor is probably as bad as his though! Just a sci fi fan here.
Enjoy time with your family, we all forget how fragile and quick life is. It's easy to get caught up with all the distractions we have daily, but don't forget to tell those close to you how much you love them.

Went to town today and picked up a small 2 pound ham. It'll just be me and my little brown freind (the dog) for Christmas this year. The wife won't be home until sometime in January. My daughter called today and said she isn't going to make it down either.
I hope everyone has a great Christmas this year. Spend it with family and friends if at all possible.

don't actually celebrate Christmas as we are Pagans, we celebrate Yule or The Winter Solstice which is the 21stWednesday. nice piece of beef going in the oven.
will probably be going for a drive and a walk on Christmas day when everyone else is tucking into their xmas lunch.
Seasons Greetings to all.

well now I am not alone,,,,hell I don't even acknowledge my birthday,,,,you are as old as you feel,,,,some days I'm a kid again other I feel I'm 100yrs old

Southern Rail, The Post Office and British Airways staff, all essential services at a time when everyone is trying to get home for Christmas, either that or off on holiday. typical!!!

yes, never had any time for unions myself, I got caught up in The Post Office strike in the late 60s,,,"closed shop" situation, I vowed never to be in that situation ever again.

Have a very Merry Christmas to all my Prepper friends! I have never met any of you, but I feel like I have gotten to know some of you over the years and hope that you are all with loved ones this holiday season. It has been a hectic month so far and I am honestly looking for a break. This week if I am not working (as in real job) I am cleaning and cooking. Today we finished up Christmas shopping after hunny came home from work. Our Christmas will start tomorrow going to mom's to spend time with her and my sis. Sunday, will be time spent with a couple bachelor friends, kids and grandbaby! Most all of my holiday cooking is done and in the morning will wrap presents. This is the time to enjoy life with loved ones. . . either family, friend or both. It is also a time that we tend to reflect on the loved ones lost. We miss them more and hold them dear to our hearts remembering times passed, . . kinda bitter sweet.
