Rechargeable Olight keychain flashlight on sale for Black Friday. Plus, you get a second one free.

I just bought the blue one (11/27/2021) for their sale price of $17.56, add $1.43 tax and $5 shipping. Then they throw in a second black one for free. My total was $23.99 for both, delivered to my door.

I have not owned one of these before, but mine should be delivered soon. I saw mention of this sale from Doug Ritter - the prepper guy guy who sponsered/co-designed those nice Ritter knives that Benchmade used to make.

Two lighting levels: 180 lumins and 5 lumins. Built-in Li-ion battery, includes USB-C charging cable. IPX8 waterproof rating.

Cute little bugger, if nothing else!

That's a nice looking light. I used to be a hmmm, "collector" of flash lights, yeah, a collector, that sounds right.

For those of us with old vehicles? USB should still work? This one looks promising. I don't have anything key ring size. I need to look into it, thanks.

For many years I carried a, well easier to show. It has a magnesium rod and a tiny light in the end. lock blade, partial serration. And a clip for belt or top of pocket! Great farm knife, used the light often. I used the rod for burning brush many times. Then one day l learned the light's battery was more than the knife they no longer made, darn!

I ordered 2 so I have 3 coming.
I have one of these on all my keyrings and I have given the same light to several people for Christmas over the years. For the money they can't be beat.

So far, I've resisted this because I haven't been thinking right. I've been coming at this from my point of view, but I have too many flashlights as it is and they're all very good. But 'tis the season to buy gifts for others and these lights are excellent for that! So...I ordered one. Hopefully, two arrive.

You do have to create an account and login to it to get the freebie I believe. It says something like that on the website. After creating the account they send you two additional coupons via email - one for $10 off a $59 order, and a second one for $15 off a $99 order. I doubt I will use those coupons. Like you, I already have way too many flashlights!

The free one should have showed up in your shopping cart like this:

I cannot hang anything else on my keychain. It is already too heavy. I cannot tell you how many starter switches I have had to repair on my vehicles due to heavy keys chains hanging from the starter switch.

OMG, Haertig. Thank God I already have one. Flashlights are worse than heroine for me. I can't just get one. I have to get at least two. My obsession has turned into a very nice barter item. I may have more flashlights than pocket knives if that is possible.

I keep the O-Light on my keychain, and it is phenomenal. I have had it for years, and can't even remember the last time I charged it. A charge seems to last forever. Works like a charm. Perfect stocking stuffer for this time of year.

I got a couple of these for wife and I. Great little light. Think ill order more of these for stocking staffers. Well worth the money and are so small you really don't notice it being there

Neither one of our vehicles require a key. They have a button to start them.
My keyring has my truck fob and my Olight flashlight. Not even a door key because I went to a pushbutton door lock.
My SIL had so much junk on her key chain it was about a foot long. Tweety Bird toys were her big thing and she must of had 10 on her keyring.
It was getting to the point I needed a Batman utility belt or duty holster to hold all the crap I carried so I thinned out the stuff.
I keep my keys on a clip attached to a belt loop and my pocket knife is attached to another pocket clip.

All of this talk about key rings made me go look. I have three keys: front door, storm door, and my car. I have a SOG pen knife that looks like a key; a whistle; and the O-Light. Doesn't weigh anything. Doesn't make an unusual amount of noise. How many keys do you guys carry?

I don't have a keyring that I carry all the time. We have one keyring per car, hanging on a little hook board. Each keyring has the key for that car, and the alarm/door opener fob. The keyring for our truck also has the key to our storage locker.

I carry plenty of stuff in my pockets, but those items not bundled together on a keyring.

Spoken like a true flashaholic! Just yesterday, when rummaging through old boxes of stuff in a spare bedroom, I ran across one of my first LED flashlights. An old "CMG Infinity". The original, before Gerber bought them out and started making cheaper versions. This was one of the first widespread "flashaholic" LED flashlights ever. I remember 100's of people getting together on candlepowerforums.com and reading Craig's reviews of the different colored LED models. I dutifully put in a single AA battery and twisted the head in great anticipation to turn it on. Still works! The beam pattern was terrible though. Full of light and dark rings. And when unscrewed slightly in the off position, the battery bounces around inside like a baby's toy rattle. The power LED on my router outshines that old CMG by about 3x. Oh well - lots of nostalgia for that light, if not performance. I used to keep one in my pocket, and a spare hanging proudly around my neck. I am on a quest to find it's siblings now. Somewhere, I have a white one, a teal one, a green one, and a red one (LED colors, not body colors). The one I found yesterday (shown below) is the teal one.

OMG!! Set the Wayback machine. Remember when Surefire came out? They were the King of flashlights for a few years, We still have some of those. They were small for the time, and had 80 lumens, We thought we could see into outer space. Seems like the technology has moved light years.

My $80 Surefire flashlight rarely gets taken out of the drawer. The CR123 batteries are expensive and loose power too fast. My 4 D cell Maglite stays in my truck because it's are handy for other things besides lighting the night. :)
I bought 2 Olight weapon lights on sale 2 years ago but they don't fit my Sig's proprietary rail system. I gave one to my brother and he took it to work and now all his guys have them. It's really small and extremely bright.

OK, my Olights showed up today. These are now officially the cutest little flashlights I own. The low setting of 5 lumins is plenty for finding your way around in the dark (my normal middle of the night stumble to the bathroom light is 1/2 lumin, and even that seems bright to dark adapted eyes). And the high setting of 180 lumins is great to have as the occasional backup when you really need something brighter. You don't have that 180 lumins for long - maybe 15 to 20 minutes - but it's there for emergency use should you need it. Plugged the both of them into the charger, then their full charge lights went green right at 90 minutes, within seconds of each other.

I was getting ready to throw away the padded envelope that my little flashlights came in, and I was wondering why it was so heavy. Inside I found this from Olight. I think you call these "challenge coins"? It's a chunky heavy little sucker that appears to be brass, don't know what I'm supposed to do with it, but it's kind of neat for some unknown reason. Another thing to add to my collection that after my passing will have the kids wondering, "What the heck is this thing?" I have lots of those surprises for them to find.

I received a second shipment from Olight. Two more lights. They mistakenly made a double shipment to me. I contacted them to tell them about their mistake and ask where I should return the extra two lights to. They said if I wanted to keep them, they'd give me a discount. They offered $16.79 for these second two lights (free shipping, since they had already erroneously shipped them to me). So I said, "Sure, I'll take the two additional lights for that price." So now I have four. I'll give the spares to the kids. (Yep, I received another one of those challenge coins too!)

Olight's customer service must work 24x7. My initial email to them informing them of their shipping mistake was sent a bit after midnight yesterday. They replied within 30 minutes - at 1:00am. Then all the back and forths of them offering me the discounted price and handling the details of payment once I accepted were just completed now, at 11:00pm. I wasn't expecting them to contact me in the middle of the night.

Olight did the same thing to me a couple of years ago. I ordered 3 flashlights and they sent me 5. I emailed them and they said to just keep the extras.
I hope my wife never figures out how much money I have spent with Olight.

Those O Bulbs they sell are nice. The have a magnetic base and come with a metal disk that can be attached to just about anything. They have a low, high, red, and flashing red modes
I put one in the closet so my wife doesn't have to fumble around looking for clothes.

If you want one, but missed the last sale, they're on sale again. This time for $4.95. You have to sign up for their emails to get this price (you can cancel later). But the only emails they seem to send are additional offers for free/on-sale flashlights (like the one below), so that's OK with me.
