New prepper in vt

New to this always had an intrest in prepping but never started. Looking at how things are going with the government, aratic weather changes, threats from foriegn countrys saying there going to invade or nuke us. I wanna be ready. Ive been doing research on what i really need to focus on and i plan to start gathering food, plan on building a water treatment system that runs of either solar or some sort of other alternative energy sorce. Weapons for security and safty. I have a friend who is joining me, we plan on getting more to help in different ways to start are own clsed comunity after an event hits.

I would reccomend a gravity treatment system ,then you would not need to expend any energy or worry about any type of power to operate it .

as you most and likely know by now..winters is a start.what will (you) need if/when you get snowed in.or lose power?you got the needed means of staying warm?water and food is a good start.
