Those in Manhattan should be very worried about getting locked down! You know it’s coming.
They are allready told to shelter in place. Now it’s just a matter of enforcement. The whole world is in a mess over this. I honestly never thought I would see anything like it.
I saw a commercial that was pretty profound today. It said right at 75 years ago America was asked to go to war. Right now we are only being asked to sit on the couch.

Somewhat changes your perspective doesn't it.

But this is still a war and we must fight it as best we can. And help others as best we can. Like you, I can’t believe this is happening. Never could have imagined such a thing. It appears that there are going to be challenges coming our way with crime as well as other issues.

Agreed this is indeed a WAR between humanity and Covid - 19 and all the guns in the world are not going to help. This is a war fought with hygiene, common sense and distance.

The rats have always lived underground right? Now we can see which of us are human and which are just rats...My city is full of underground tunnels.
The FREISTADT GMÜND has just celebrated its 750th birthday and some of the walls around the city are still standing which were built back in 1360 AD. The old tunnels and underground storage rooms were increased and enlarged by the Nazi Regime and some still have ****ytraps in them. Not a good place to go as a beginner criminal. GP

We live in the oldest Freistadt under the old King Barbarossa. His kingdom went from modern day Denmark down to Italy. The Kings tower is still standing and you can go into it every Sunday. Beautiful old churches and the Munster Cathedral. Salvatore chapel on the mountain, carved out of solid rock. Fantastic history to walk through.

Being a true lover of history, I hope I get to come see it some day!

It will still be standing after this is all over, you all have a guide for free if you can come. I can take a few pics and put them in another thread and call it "my home town", OK? GP

I’d love to see your area. Here in the states we have what, three hundred years or so of history. Your area has thousands. I am really envious that the people in Europe have had access to so much history and culture close together. Post Picts!

Looks like the crime has started here. Yesterday or the day before, a vacant rental property we own was broken into with a crowbar. I had to replace the lock last night because it was mangled. They didn't get much. They tried to steal a heater until they realized it had a gas pipe going into the back of it. As best we can tell, they stole some dishes.

I’m still so sorry to hear that doc even though it wasn’t too bad.

Sounds like an amazing place. I have always loved history and visiting places of significance is something truly amazing.

Did anyone see the pictures posted by Todd Starnes, the journalist?

He lives in Brooklyn and went to the hospital and it was not crowded at all. No one in waiting rooms and the parking lot had a normal number of cars. Looks like the other Boroughs would be getting the overflow from Manhattan, etc.
