Absolutely! She will never be without a job!
Having Technician after your name is better than Phd.
And after a year or so, when other companies find out, her salary will zoom after the bidding starts.
(Especially when she starts taking customers/business from them).

I preffer my older certificate that said .......... as a journeyman, but I have more that say technician

According to her she blew the owner away during the interview. He drew a light fixture with 2 switches. A simple 3 way and asked her to draw in the connections
She was not prepared for a test but got it right and explained the difference in a loop fire alarm system vs closed system

I wanted to do that when I was young. But my knowledge of electricity is better used for welding...
