Video goes viral, claiming a smirky kid was accosting a Native American Elder at a sporting event.

Media runs wild with it, all major outlets, going off only a blog and Twitter post. No research, no due diligence.

Hollywood celebs condemn the kids. Media outrage.

Only......the longer video then surfaces with the truth. The Native American LIED, and HE was the one accosting the kid and his friends. The video is beyond repute, as it clearly shows the media narrative as completely false.

Immediately, the media is forced to backpedal, and the celebs issue apologies left and right.

Meanwhile, the retractions and apologies are only MINOR news, while the original FAKENEWS narrative is still going viral (making many look like idiots, who shared it without being aware of the retraction).

Ah, social media gold. I love it when the media just continues to prove themselves as fakenews.

The native American is a real ahole who was discharged out the military. He was a a/c refrigeration repairman for the marines. Actually the guy did get an 'honorable' discharge. Now he was still a PRIVATE after 4 years in the Marines. He went AWOL at least 3 times. This week he called himself a 'Vietnam era veteran' which is deceptive, but in the past he called himself a Vietnam Vet. Records show he never left the 48 states.

Need some help here... how do you stay a Private for 4 years in the military? Military K9's start ranked higher than Private. Yes, every military dog is higher ranked than he was. And that's after he worked at it for 4 years. I suspect the discharge was a negotiated exit.

After I pointed out to the wife the media bias, she watched the entire video, more than an hours worth and the blacks were casting out the slurs and the Indian did walk into the group of white kids and hoped to start something, it did not work. The kid stood his ground but refused to take the bait. The full video shows all this in detail. No doubt who did what and who was trying to start crap. My hats off to the kid for standing his ground and for not allowing the rabble rouser to get his goat. Smart Kid!!!

Brent, it is not possible to watch the full video and not draw conclusions. UP described it well. If you can't see that you are not living in reality. When the liberal leftie media now admit the kids were not the instigators, that should tell you something. I'll be watching to see who the family sues for libel. They put out the warning a couple of days ago and yesterday was the cutoff... now to just tally the idiots who did not delete, retract and apologize for their false statements.

AD, I would say when the cause warrants the risk at the personal level. The crazy indian was beating a baby drum. Now if he were walking around waving an AK-47, the risk changes. Keep in mind that risk includes safety, assets (getting sued), career, etc. For the next few years, this situation will meaningfully change this student's life. I mean, my family has been here for nearly 400 years, and nearly 200 BEFORE the United States of America existed. So, just how many centuries does it take to qualify as "native" anyhow?

Nor are they native, as thousands of years ago, they crossed a land bridge from Asia. So again, it's a ridiculous concept. We're all simply Americans. Just because your ancestors or mine were here longer, it really doesn't factor into it, at all. Nor am I responsible for the actions of my ancestors (nor you, yours). Whether you were born here, or came here legally and went through the hoops to be a citizen, I recognize you as a fellow American.
