Not just food and water

The obvious prep items are food & water. This only scratches the surface. What else is everyone storing - I'll add a few I thought of. I'm sure the list can go on, so the more ideas the better; why not everyone add two previously unlisted items, and see what everyone comes up with (unlimited posts ok, just limit each post to two items)

Vinegar!Great preservative and disinfectant and lasts forever!
Candles,flashlights,batteries,matches & lighters
Charcoal would be good also
A lot of this stuff you can buy up when it's on sale
Soap cause I don't wanna have to use lye!
I figured I getter get a few axes,I buy firewood now but...

Idk what my dogs are gonna do for food I hope they like squirrel & rabbit lol Cause I have a St.Bernard and English Mastiff.Even if dog food had a good shelf life it don't last around here.

Vinegar also makes a wonderful cleanser. We have a cleaning company and use it every day.

Cider vinegar mixed into the water troughs works fair for fly repellent as does simply spraying diluted cider vinegar on the critter or yourself. A little bit of it in the bird's water helps pep them up too.
