Unknown illness spreads from woman to deputies and hospital staff in Coos County

The Coos Bay Haz Mat Team has not yet identified the source, but it appears to be passing through contact, not the air, the sheriff's office said.

A 57-year-old woman reported someone vandalizing her vehicle around 3 a.m. outside the home where she works as a caregiver for a 78-year-old person on East Bay Road in North Bend.

A deputy checked the area and found nothing.

Deputies were called back to the home at 5:30 a.m. by a similar report.

This time, the deputies suspect the woman might be having medical issues causing hallucinations.

The woman was taken to Bay Area Hospital for examination. Medical personnel checked her, she appeared fine, and returned home.

Then one of the deputies began showing similar symptoms and had to be hospitalized.

so it's something that makes your brain go cockoo??
a parasite perhaps? but whtever it is it's spooky.

I wish I had a timeline on how long before the cops showed signs. Also wonder if they found any common denominators like they all visited a certain restauraunt earlier in the day. Scary stuff though. It's only a matter of time before a bad pandemic hits a large city. I just hope I don't see it anytime soon.

Within an hour Brent

I'm also leaning towards LSD on this too. It may come to light the sweet caregiver was manufacturing the stuff or something like that. I'm pretty sure it can be absorbed thru the skin too.

The officers and ER nurse had protective gloves, the house came up clean, so did the car, so did the care takers home, they checked the gloves, skin wiped the effected patients and found nothing, so far toxicology reports turned up nothing no illicit drugs, no body ate at the same restaurant, there is no commonality other than the initial contact.

I've heard about mass hysteria, but cops are usually immune to it, as well as seasoned ER staff. This really is an interesting mystery.
