yup,mate,they put those iskander missiles there and their fully armed jets could not help but fly into our air space,twice the same day when that happened.
mind you,some are getting very worried here about all this.

Maybe I'm being a girl or something, but doesn't it say the range of those missiles is 310 miles? so from that position, the point of impact is going to be well away from the UK. Not sure what the fallout would be, but I'm not overly bothered as yet. Like they said in the war, Keep Calm and Carry On!

Sal, No its most certainly not because you are a girl, these missiles can be nucleared armed and they are located smack bang in the middle of western Europe, they only need to fly up about 30 miles and detonate. No FALLOUT ( a good thing) but MASSIVE EMP ( a bad thing) because we will go from the Technological era to the Victorian era in minutes and it will take a couple of years to fix , if we can fix it at all. No running water, no electricity, no sewage, no street lights, no freezers, no computers. No side wants ground burst fallout because like Chernobyl taught us it inevitably blows over EVERYONE, but one to four good EMPs and Western Europe travels instantly back to the victorian technological era.
Your missing the point by a wide mile mon ami. Neither side wants ground burst fallout creating nuke explosions, this war is about EMP. EMP devices going off over Western Europe or the US will take us back to the Victorian era in seconds, No power, telecoms, pcs, pumped water, gas, sewage, phones, electronics etc for a few years. BUT I repeat BUT, the Russian federation still has huge chunks of its economy etc based and running on the pre electronic era techology. THEIR cars, Trucks, Tractors, Farm Machinery, Railways will still function. We are by far the more vulnerable to a nuclear exchange than the Russians or Chinese much of their infrastructure is still based on small family ran farmsteads where much of the work is done by hand. Hand cranked single cyl and twin cyl diesel carts are plentiful as is fit physical Labour.
Its not the 1970s and 80s folks we dont need massive multi megaton bombs to compensate for poor targetting guidence systems to hit the target, both sides can now fly sub kiloton devices through each others living room windows. BUT BUT BUT BUT, Both sides have seen the SNAFUS caused by 3 mile Island, Windscale, Chernobyl, Fukushima etc and NO ONE wants big nukes going bang on the ground because they now know and understand that the hundreds of thousands of tons of irradiated **** will also fall on them as well as their opponants. No these days most of us are frightening actually thinking they can get away with battlefield nukes sub kiloton devices knocking out military formations locally and sodding culture and technology killing EMP devices wiping out our entire modern technological economies.

I don't see EMP nukes being first wave given that the reprisal would be meant with mid-alt to ground burst over and at strategic sites, if an EMP is to be used as first strike than the alarms have already sounded. What it sounds like russia is deploying is strategic battlefield heavy missiles or battlefield nuke given the stated range of 350miles. putin is a calculating man but I don't see him as being stupid, he also knows he is playing chess while the West is playing checkers

We have 10 stationed at Bangor outside of Seattle and all are out to sea at the moment
That's 240 missiles employing 2,880 MIRVs just on our subs alone from Washington state not counting the other 8 from other bases nor our ground base and areal launches, putin knows our subs are out there and knows only a few would be high alt burst but the majority will be mid to ground burst

I cannot possibly envisage either side STARTING a war by going nuke, its the instant MAD scenario, but I can see proxy wars like Syria easily getting out of hand such as some extremist loons using a dirty bomb to attack a Nato member or nato base, we retaliate deliberately or accidentally and manage to kill some Russians as well as Muslims by accident and it creeping from there. Or it goes tits up in Ukraine. But as always with the Merkins and Russians they wont want to fight on US or Russian soil because they know what the dreadful inevitably of that would be. So Joe, Jonnte and Me are likely to end up as pigs in the middle as Russia / US bitch it out over Ukraine, Syria etc.
