Tragic.
A 74-year old Vietnam veteran with documented mental problems, and the police are totally caught off guard that he still had the skills he used to survive the 'killing fields' in that hellhole? Like laying down suppressing fire, defending his position, and hitting what he's aiming at?
So many failures in the cop's planning of that endeavor to even list.
Fortunately only one was killed, it could have been much worse.
I can hardly wait to see how long before it's all the "assault-weapon's" fault.
This always hits me hard because they are my own, & Iwon't pass judgement on any of their failures. Like all Police Officers, I've been in those situations on far too many occasions! Also I've been to more Police funerals than I care to remember.
May GOD welcome my fallen Brother & watch over their families.
