"We have only 20x great grandparents dating back to the start of our civilization here on Earth. 20 centuries. (20 x 100) We know that there has been more civilizations but our own civilization may very well one day leave Earth. It would be a beautiful thing if the far future was about a constant demand for exoplanets to disperse ourselves further and further. The exoplanets to us will be what hives are bumblebees and of course reaching an exoplanet would be considered the holiest of miracles should those kind of dreams ever come true. Although this modern hive hunt across the universe will give space exploration insect-like priorities to preserve our wonderful existence, it will be a natural cycle of life. However... What if it is too natural? All cycles of life have the following things in common... They do not ask. They just take. They have happened before and they will happen again. Example. They may be politically imperial and with laws set by their forefather's and that could be anywhere from thousands to hundreds of thousands of years old. It may have taken them around 2,000 - 4,000 years to leave their native home for the first time. No different from us. What sets them aside from us is the fact that the awareness of their existence right now is still a question even when we ourselves exist. I believe in aliens!" ~ CyberWolf.

CW,
I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum. We all can look at the same evidence and draw a wide range of conclusions. I see anomalies regarding 'aliens', but there is no real true hard proof. So I don't know. Nothing makes me conclude that they exist so I'm a doubter. I'm not asking you to convince me (or try to), I'm just stating my view/interpretation.

Interstellar travel? We can't even imagine the technology to get there, let alone begin to work on it. "Light speed" travel is all 100% Sci-Fi today. Great entertainment, but zero meat in it.

Regarding evolution, I am a 100% doubter. I'm one of them Bible-thumping 6,000 year old Creationist guys. We've had 100's of years of 'modern science' to breed some sort of true evolutionary creature. Nothing. Sure, you can breed dogs & get Great Danes & Boxers and German Shephards. But two dogs still give you just a dog. A chicken has never laid an egg and have a hamster come out of the egg. Every true genetic change we've observed has ended in dead things. Not a great story to support evolution. If you want some interesting reading to explain everything from continental drift to ice-buried wooly mammoths to where comets came from, look at creationscience.com . He has a nice 10 minute video to explain the theory of the flood & how it happened.

Now this can go too far (IMHO) in the other direction as well. A church I know of believes that Nephilim create much of this (human/demon 'children'). That they travel inter-dimensionally and visit earth. Weird stuff. But, it floats their boat, they can believe what they want. Not my cup of tea. So pick your own interpretation...

Another interesting conversation. My opinion (note, my opinion only based upon not facts whatsoever), has both theories. As a Christian, I believe that a god created all. On day 1 he created all heaven and earth. How long was that day? How many millions or billions of our years did that contain. Who lite the match that created the big bang starting evolution? When god created man, again it was over how many millions of years? God manipulated the gene pool (creationist) which started the evolution process. Nothing in this says he did not create a DNA (or gene pool) that was specific to man from the beginning or did he direct other genes to mutate into what eventually became man? In my opinion, both evolution and creation do co-exist. Just need to expand the time line a great deal.

"What we need ladies and gentlemen, is concrete evidence that we exist on a planet. If we are proved to exist on a planet, is it a magical planet? Or, is this kind of normal sometimes on the 30 billion other planets in our galaxy?" ~ CyberWolf.

God's an alien. A deceptive, jealous, wrathful, psychotic, dictatorial, genocidal alien, no less. And he probably died of old age a long time ago. If not, we should friggin' NUKE the ******* whenever we get the chance lmao.

...Other than that I have no opinion lol. XD

God is so mean.

Right?! That's what I keep telling people. Most just tell me that I'm a blaspheming heretic infidel who will burn in Hell for all of eternity for my decadent, sinful ways. Unless of course I bend the knee lmao. LOVELY people. 😂

@DrHenley : Lol, how so? XD I felt I've been nothing but authentic; zero qualms about speaking my mind lol. XD

And hey, I'm just going off of what the Bible itself tells us about this God fella lol. XD

The real hero of the Bible story would have to be Satan, who has murdered WAY less people in the Bible than God has lol. Satan, according to the Bible, has only killed ten people; the seven sons and three daughters of Job, and even THAT was only because GOD allowed it as part of a BET, (yes, apparently God's also a gambler lmao.)

Meanwhile, between the Great Flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, famines, wars, and other general miseries, God has killed a whopping 24 MILLION people lmao.

And God straight-up lied to Adam and Eve when he said "Don't eat this fruit, or you'll DIE." Good old Satan came along though to set things straight. "You will not surely die," he said to the naive woman. "For God knows that if you eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, your eyes will be opened as his are."

So Eve ate the fruit, and GUESS WHAT? She surely did not die, as God falsely told her she would. She then gave some to her husband, and the Bible tells us this is what happened, "There eyes were opened." and they now understood the difference between right and wrong. That is ALL Satan wanted for us; to rise above our primitive, naked, savage selves, and become better people. That's why the Bible refers to Lucifer as the Morning Star; a bringer of enlightenment.

So, who's THE REAL bad guy of this story, huh? XD

#HailSatan lmao.

The Ancient Greeks had a very similiar figure to Satan. No, not Hades; I'm talking about Prometheus. He decided to go against Zeus by "stealing fire from the gods." to give to mankind because he wanted us to rise up and become stronger, healthier people, UNLIKE Zeus who saw us as mere insects bred for no other reason than to please him lol.

The only real difference is that Prometheus was hailed as a hero by the Ancient Greeks, whereas Lucifer was literally demonized by the people he liberated lol.

Let's not forget that for every passion God created, came a suffering.
