"We have only 20x great grandparents dating back to the start of our civilization here on Earth. 20 centuries. (20 x 100) We know that there has been more civilizations but our own civilization may very well one day leave Earth. It would be a beautiful thing if the far future was about a constant demand for exoplanets to disperse ourselves further and further. The exoplanets to us will be what hives are bumblebees and of course reaching an exoplanet would be considered the holiest of miracles should those kind of dreams ever come true. Although this modern hive hunt across the universe will give space exploration insect-like priorities to preserve our wonderful existence, it will be a natural cycle of life. However... What if it is too natural? All cycles of life have the following things in common... They do not ask. They just take. They have happened before and they will happen again. Example. They may be politically imperial and with laws set by their forefather's and that could be anywhere from thousands to hundreds of thousands of years old. It may have taken them around 2,000 - 4,000 years to leave their native home for the first time. No different from us. What sets them aside from us is the fact that the awareness of their existence right now is still a question even when we ourselves exist. I believe in aliens!" ~ CyberWolf.
