I had forgotten just how good tasting percolated coffee had tasted. As part of just in case I lose power I figured I had better buy a percolated coffee pot. So I bought one from Vermont Country Store. Then just to be sure that the pot was going to do what I wanted to do I fixed some coffee and now I'm hooked. Good buy old drip coffee maker. Hello perked coffee every morning.

I have a few petcolators.

I make my coffee differently. I put a 1/4 cup of coffee on top of a quart of water in a pot. Bring it to a boil when the coffee cap flips, turn the heat down and lightly boil for maybe 1 minute. Pull out of hear, drizzle a shot of water down into the middle to settle grounds. Drink up.

Do the same for cold except mix coffee into cold water, let sit over night, just bring to boil and pull off the heat. A drizzle shot of water down top, then drink.

I don't drink coffee, don't like the taste. I wish I did though, I need more frivolous things to spend my money on.
Cream makes a world of difference for the taste. I like the taste of coffee, but not by itself. We drank coffee when I was a kid, and it was mostly milk, sugar and a little coffee. I quit using sugar in coffee when I was a teenager. If I am going to have ice cream, coffee flavored is at the top of the list. It is a flavor, like vanilla or chocolate. Some people like strong flavors and I like mine milder.

I had a secretary once who drank coffee with Baileys all day long. She'd get a little goofy by the afternoon, but I'll have to admit it tasted pretty good.

I switched to Cold Brewed a year ago. I will never go back to coffee that was exposed to heat.
I can’t imagine drinking cold coffee in a nice Alaska winter 😜
During the percolation process a compound called cafestol is made, it raises bad cholesterol! Even though it has a heartier, better taste, it's not good for you!!
I’m just gonna add in here when consumed with the standard American diet.

I drink two cups in the morning made by the Mr Coffee that is set to brew at 4 AM. I don’t want to wait for it to perk. I do have 4 percolator pots of various sizes. One was my great grandmother’s. It’s the biggest 😍. One lives in the trailer and gets used the most. Backups for the backups on that one I tell ya. It’s important!

Alcohol makes me physically ill. Someone asked me at Thanksgiving where my wine was. I was drinking sparkling cider. He couldn't understand why I didn't want any wine. It would be like asking someone, "Hey, do you want to get sick and vomit?" No, I don't. So no wine and no Baileys in my coffee either!

My deepest sympathies on your disability. So brave... so brave... There but for the grace of god...

This secretary was Kazak. They are raised on vodka and Cognac.

"COLD BREWED" is the process. You can the drink it cold or heat the "COLD BREWED" coffee if you desire it hot. I do both.

I take a one-quart Mason Jar and add 1/3 cup (measured) ground coffee. Then fill the jar with cold tap water, install the lid, and place in the refrigerator. It is generally ready in 20'ish hours. But I will generally have two (one quart) jars in process of brewing and one jar that has brewed and been filtered and ready for consumption (Either cold or microwaved HOT).

I sometimes let it cold brew overnight (in refrigerator) or for many days. does not seem to make any difference. The big thing is there is no oil or acid released with cold brewed system.

Anyone ever read this novel ...??? If you did, do you remember what the woman taught him to put in his coffee......???

It was TWO HUGE TEASPOONS of BUTTER.
