I am flexible on the style. But I want quality.......not some "disposable" airsoft pretend alarms. Any suggestions......???

And I have exactly ZERO interest in building them myself......even if they were free. I want to purchase them.

Any idea how long before the batteries need replacing....???
I used mine as a "doorbell", the chime used 3 "C", and the IR detector was 9 volt. I don't get many front door visitors, I recharged em every 6 months. The IR part died after about 4 years, it's from china, and outside. picked up small mammals too, so out in the woods you would have to change em more often.

I use Rottweiler security systems. They do require quite bit of maintenance tho. It seems like am am always feeding, petting or tripping over them.

That is my system as well.

I don't know if this will work for you, but I have a couple of these trip-wire alarms in my survival pack. They are not designed for extensive distances, but they use a shotgun shell primary and do not require power. They are very easy to set up and just as easy to move. I believe I bought them from Amazon for like $23-24 each.

That is exactly "ONE" of the models I plan to get. I want to have several different types of alarms. Some mechanical, some requiring batteries, and some using AC-electric.
