Hello all, I've been thinking that if I had to take a long walk due to shtf, it would be helpful to be able to listen and maybe find out how things are going. I'm thinking of maybe an app or whatever that one could listen to across the country. I have a portable radio w/weather but it's bulky and requires "c" batteries, too much to carry around. Thinking of the phone because I have a solar power to recharge it. The solar is a little bigger than the phone. Anyone have any suggestions to keep up with what's going on if bugging out. Trying to make use of what I have.

If the cell towers are down, you wont have anything useful on the phone except it's flashlight. I carry a little am/fm I bought at the family dollar a few years back for 5 bucks. Takes 2 AA batteries.
Yes that is true. Well looks like I have to keep looking.
