The wife got me a years membership of the local shooting range, so I get get more time in practising my SAA.

My brother gave me some emergency food for my prepper stash. The non-preppers in my family always give me random stuff like that as a "joke" gift but I always add it to my collection. More is always better. I will see the rest of my family next week so we will see what gifts are exchanged then - my living room is currently full of all kinds of presents.

Oh for presents, I got some more bourbon to add to my stash. A pair of hunting boots, non name brand, but they look great quality. More ammo also, I'll add them to my stockpile, just in case I ever recovery all my guns I lost in the gulf of Mexico.

That lost guns comment made me laugh. I love when the news article says they found someone with an Arsenal in bold headlines. Usually it’s some schmoe they arrested on unrelated minor charges and they find 3 guns and a few boxes of ammo and make it out like he was going to start a war. The news media can be a very dangerous advisary if they wish to.

Some people may consider that I live in the middle of "no where" too. But to me I'm right in the middle of everything that's important to me.

I got some throwing knives for Christmas and I and a couple of my siblings enjoyed practicing with them for a little while.
One of my brothers gave me a katana with a pretty painted sheath - a wall hanger but I still like it. He said the guy at the pawn shop where he bought it tried to tell him some ridiculous story about a famous samurai who used to own it.
