I am curious how many people think a nuke is highly likely? I think an Emp is more likely since a nuke would destroy all of the resources and an EMP would definitely lower the population for easy takeover. BTW, what the heck are all of the richie riches doing buying lavish bunkers? Do they really think there will be golf courses, or stores to shop in after a nuke not too bright are they... And without guns or ammo how long will the rich survive out of their bunkers after an EMP without bodyguards? Tell me if I'm off on this thinking.

I don't think either option will happen. I belive it's all scare tactics designed to make us all easier to control and to keep building our massive military. Nobody needs drop bombs to destroy our country, we're destroying it now on our own. And have been for many years. Some would argue that we started destroying our country when we went off the gold standard and became a socialist/welfare country. Now we're in danger of becoming a communist country. Just a couple more lost/stolen elections, and add in a few more millions of third world invaders and we'll be finished. No shots fired or bombs dropped will be needed. Many people like to think that SHTF will happen overnight, like in the books and movies. I believe SHTF started many years ago at such a slow pace that most people never noticed it.

You are so right.. Our country started being destroyed from fromwithin over 50 years ago. Now it's imploding faster. But it's the old adage put the frogs in a cold pot of water and gradually turn the heat up. They will acclimate and never know what hit them.

2 could take out LA because of the area of that city.
2 could take out Bay Area-1 between SF and Oakland takes out both. Other takes out communications based in Silicon Valley

1 for either Portland or San Diego. SD being primary because on Navy and Marines.
Take your Pick of 6 on the East coast.
12 cripples the country without touching the middle and resources.

Even if nukes were launched against the US, with the hardened tech and subs circling the globe, I don't think we, or any other country in a similar situation, would feel the need to fire off everything in a last ditch effort. It would be completely reasonable to wait and see if they destroy everything before destroying everything of theirs. There are too many nukes to believe it's still a race to press the button. Could we exchange blows, sure. Do I personally think the leaders of this planet would be so shook that they would feel the need to dump a whole nuclear clip on someone? Nope. The US could be total rubble and we could still retaliate, so why? This idea of absolute destruction is illogical for so many reasons.

Putin said that he was fighting Nazis in Ukraine. Did he mean, actual Nazis, or was he just using that word for a derogatory term? If he meant actual Nazis then I have a few more questions. Nazis are racist murdering machines, they have no regard for human life. When did they become not so bad? I am not saying that Putin is good, but my pawpaw was a POW in Nazi Germany, I am pretty sure that Nazis are bad. I hate the thought that our country would side with them. You may say that people change, individuals may sometimes change, but ideologies remain. If they changed then they wouldn't be Nazis.
The way that I heard it, when Germany invaded Russia, the U.S. sent lots of money and tanks and ammo to Russia (like we are doing to Ukraine now) to help them fight off, the Nazis. The money that we sent to Russia helped to build Russia/ Soviet Union. I personally are against sending Ukraine anything. 60 to 80 years from now, some politician may be on TV telling us, Oh no, Putin wasn't so bad, we just lied to you, actually it is the Ukraine that is the bad guy, they are the ones we need to take out.
Are we going to get hit with an EMP or nuke, I’ve been wondering the same question, probably both, is my guess. I think it will be fast and devastating.

As for as the poll - I put a Nuclear World War Three at about 80% that it will happen . The bigger question for me is to what extent the warring countries will devastate each other . I don't believe such an event will be restricted to the Ukraine region but will be a war with NATO Countries at war with both Russia and China and likely a few more countries siding with the Russia China alliance . -- Echoing Grayghost's above post prepping and facing what is ahead is one step toward survival . --- Already when I hear a deep rumble , on multiple occasions I have stepped out of my adobe to access whether the sound came from a Nuclear bomb .
