Just wanted to say "Hi" to all of you at Homestead! And thank you, Angie, for the warm invitation. :)

Just moved to the Tennessee Cumberland Plateau, near Deer Lodge, in November. Looking forward to spring and getting a garden going. The place doesn't have nearly as much land as we'd hoped for but we're going to try to make the best of what we have.

Looking forward to sharing conversations of country living!

:)

Welcoming me from north of the 49th here. Some great folks here. Pull up a stump and sit a spell

Hey BugoutBob, thanks for the warm welcome.

Couldn't help but notice your little line, "domus mea et praecepta mea". Even had to go look it up.

There was another Canadian guy that had a saying I used to have to chuckle over: "quando omni flunkus moritati".

:D

Gonna have to find some of those old Red Green shows on YouTube. Some of 'em area hoot!

Have a son in Phoenix! Gotta admit, it's tempting this time of year to think I might like it really well out there. Have never been there in the heat of the summer, though...

I love the heat (said The Lizard Man) but I do have to admit it is not for everybody. I don't break a sweat until it gets well above 90. Dry heat is great but it is still heat. If the heat (115 F) is too high, the area around Flagstaff is a good compromise. Ask Dr. Prepper, but don't tell her I sent you,. :thumbs up:

made me smile I hadn’t thought of Possum Lodge in a long time

Welcome from Clifton Tennessee! Good to meet ya. I'm a foreign transplant from Alabama.
People's say, "Pull up a stump". Well, here ya go! I brushed the snow off for ya.

That's a mighty nice stump, gumpy! :) Thanks for the invite.

You're not all that far from Alabama now, are ya? My wife is originally from Alabama, a little farther south, down towards Luverne. Between us, we have family in Pennsylvania, family in Alabama, family in Louisiana and family in Arizona. Tennessee puts us within a long day's drive of all except Arizona. Plus, we like TN pretty well. Nice country, good people... felt like home, so we made it so.

Y'all bout have the mid section covered! We're only about 30 miles from Alabama, but I agree with your assessment of Tennessee. Lots of great people here. I just miss the huntin and fishin I had in Alabama.
Welcome again and enjoy yourself!
