The best way to be prepared for a power outage is to have a solar generator. You can use it by itself or in combination with a gas generator.
You could run the gas generator during the day to run the fridge and the solar generator to run everything else like laptop, internet, TV, etc. Then, at night, you can turn off the gas generator and use the solar generator to run the fridge over night.
You could also get a larger solar generator and forgo the gas generator altogether.
