I agree. Now, having said that, it the **** does hit the fan and somebody declares some kinda martial law and/or military rule, it wouldn't surprise me for us to be considered a threat.

maybe so but if the SHTF hard enough....there won't be many Feds left to deal with,,there might not be many of us left either

True. I just got to thinking about drones and military rule. I don't have any antiaircraft weapons. That I'm talking about anyway, lol.

They have a lot more to worry about beside people who are gathering water, food, etc. We aren't the bad guys...the opposite in fact.

government employees will be hit just as hard WTSHTF as anyone else, they are not immune. probably more so as no income=no food.

They'd have to find out who "us" are first before we could be considered any kind of threat. Nobody knows that I do any kind of prepping. Most of us don't advertise that we prep.

depends where one is located, martial law in the UK will be confined to the big cities, they just haven't got enough troops to control everywhere. nothing here to protect, the petrol stations and the shops will be empty even before they get martial law organised.

My correct name isn't associated with my email, nor is my country. That wouldn't keep the Feds from finding me, if they really wanted to, but they'd have to work at it. I'm not trying to hide from anyone, but I do keep a low profile.

The feds probably already know who preps and who doesn't. . .and we will be a target one day if they are still around. I had the FDA visit my homestead cause they said they were just driving around and saw the size of my garden. Wondering if I sold any of my harvest & what I was doing to replenish the nutrients from the soil. Really? I am on a dead end road & the garden is back behind the side of the house. Just saying. . . you gotta watch those fed guys. We may be 'quacks' but we will be the first ones they hit when SHTF.

The aren't targeting all preppers, just the ones that throw red flags, and groups that have controversial history with Law Enforcement as for the general prepper, not much to be worried about. Now if one is talking about or threatening armed engagement with the Feds that's a whole different ball game even if they do claim to be preppers, preppers are like the Military, Law Enforcement and Politicians even the main stream media, they all have bad apples. We have prepper groups that put a priority on weaponry not much on surviving outside of armed engagement, I have mentioned several times I won't be a part of these heavily armed groups where the focus differs from mine. I'm trying not to be a target pre/post-shtf why on Gods earth would I put myself out their with a big fat bullseye? I don't consider myself placing a bullseye on me by being here and if one is concerned then why the hell are they on here?

There are far more dangerous people in this country than me thus no reason the Feds would want to keep that kind of watchful eye I have the Feds on my property on and off duty from the LE side and from USFS, USGS, Fish and Game Department, I have my Nephew who's an FBI Agent him and his friends come up here to shoot along with the Sheriff Dept to the State Troopers, they all know what I have, a lot of them come up here to practice and test the reloads for hunting season with some using my reloading equipment. Paranoia fuels too much fear. Law enforcement is the least of my worries, I'm more concerned with the average joe and politicians.

I don't like being blunt,but if the SHTF your best buddy could become a threat,and the wrong kind of group you might join could hurt your chances,,,I will go alone for now,no one knows what the future holds

That's why I have no group other than my kids, there spouses and grand kids and a very good friend that's ex-farm hand of my dad plus none of us belong to any outside groups. The people I have here that visits are not strangers

No doubt, Marshall law pretty much means the military can take whatever they want from you. Law enforcement would probably start doing the same thing. As a matter of fact, most any group of armed people will probably take what they can. The best I can say to everyone is lay low and don't attract a lot of attention after shtf. As far as pre shtf, unless your playing with illegal weapons like fully auto stuff or explosives, then you've got nothing to worry about.

Kinda makes you wanna be like the man who kept having some kids steal his watermelons. So he got out in his garden and placed a sign that said , there is one watermelon in here that has been poisoned. The next day he went to check his garden, the kids had wrote under it, ...now there is two.

Trust me. . . I did ask for ID. I just basically told them that I didn't sell and I give the excess to family. As for the nutrient question, I told them I take care of that. Then sent them on their way. They were not allowed pass the front farm gate, dogs made sure of that. Best I could think of was at the time, I was milking and we had a major disagreement with a neighbor. Thinking he may have alerted them to check up on us. Since he is sheriff, he has some pull here. But legally they didn't have reason to, so I sent them on their way. I was very leery at the time and still am. I don't trust people in general, especially if they come to my gate uninvited.

I really like having big dogs in the yard. The power company showed up unannounced two days ago. They were here to change out the meters to ones with arc fault protection. The guy was complaining that my gate was locked. I told him it was for his protection. That calmed his attitude down some.

we have had a lot of trouble in the past with "cold callers"(anyone without an appointment), I point to the notice on the door but they just shrug their shoulders, they are paid on commission so I suppose they think its worth the risk. they just better not try it post SHTF that's all I can say, or they'll be propping up a fence post as a warning to others of their kind.
