It's entertaining, a week doesn't go by that I don't get a call from a customer that 'scream' prepper. I'm not on the phone much, maybe 5 people a day?
But at least 1 person a week says all the words that indicate 'prepper'. And I just flat out ask, usually with a touch of humor like "do I hear the voice of a fellow prepper?". People are open about it unlike only a few years ago.
Today's conversation was a lady in Californistan. She is LDS so there is a natural prepper mentality in their culture. She talked about how she'd love to see CA split into multiple states so the conservatives don't get outvoted.
But one thing she said surprised me. She said the libs would never allow the state to be split, mainly because they would lose access to all the water they 'steal'. For example she's near the Sierra mountains. All their water is diverted to the liberal cities. If the state were split, the conservatives around the Sierra mountains wouldn't have to surrender all their water to the coast-line liberal state. It would make for an interesting situation.
