I thought this was interesting, and wanted to share with the group. Maybe some of the military Veterans here have used this. I made a slight variation that IMHO is a little less messy, and easier to use. I take two Q tips, and cut them in half. Push the Q tip down into the chapstick at 12-3-6-9 (numbers on the clock). The cap will still fit. When you rub the Q tip in the chapstick, it will burn like a candle. A little less massy than stuffing a cotton ball with Vaseline in the lid. I keep one in all of my bags as a back up to my fire starting kit.
