Since I'm too lazy to go through the last 2 or 3 pages of (part 1), I am starting a new "Rant of the Day" thread.

Please leave the political out of this thread.

Also, you can go to the other thread and use the +quote to capture a post to use in this thread if necessary. But unless it's nice, please don't bother, as it will save us time from deleting it and the fuss it causes.

Thanks gang.

I dislike car bright lights not being lowered to regular as you approach the oncoming vehicle. It hurts my eyes, and I have to look to the edge of the road to keep the direct brightness from blinding me.

(My Nissan Kicks have the feature that when my headlights are on bright, they detect enough light from street lights, oncoming cars, or the like, they dim themselves, and they brighten when I'm back out in a darker area. Darndest thing ever.)

I have that in my year old Lexus, but haven't figured out how to turn it on. My rant is the 4" thick owner's manual that we need to read when buying a new car.
You are fortunate.
I am angry when I buy something complicated, dig thru the package looking for instructions, and only find a note with a silly square on it and the message: "Please scan this QR code to see all the information that we are too lazy to send you.🤪".
For those of us without a silly/smartphone, what are we supposed to do?

The wife's Grand Cherokee has auto dimming headlights and auto wipers. I don't use the auto dimming lights myself, they're too sensitive. I also disconnected the day time running lights. I dont need headlights on a sunny day. I know when to turn my headlights on.

I recently bought a $6000 motorized kayak. It didn't come with a owners manual or instruction manual. You're supposed to download the manual off the internet and print it! I don't have a GD printer! So I'll have to go to the library in town to print it. How much money did the manufacturer save by not including a manual?

My headlights burn out in less than 2 years and require some dismantling of the car to replace!! My auto repair guys have been treating me very well though so I can stop being a PITA to a couple of different people and take it to my repair guys.
Yes, @Swing same thing for me on bright headlights most of the time.
I wish I knew how to make it so my daytime running lights don’t come on unless I want them on (cloudy days).

we bought a used 2014 honda a couple of years ago....I had to go on ebay and buy a 70$ manual just to figure stuff out. At least there was still a paper manual available...
What?! You mean you didn't just scan the code in the glove-compartment?!:eyeballs:

Yes indeed $70 was for the original owners manual that looks like a large fat paperback...just finding how to get the spare tire out or get the radio back on after disconnecting the battery certainly can be a challenge.....and i am not up for trying to read it off my phone.

We had 2 Keurigs, a K cup & a regular coffee pot. My wife saw that they made 1 maker that would do both things. Her idea was to save counter space & replace what we had with the new maker, which we did. The problem is that it has 1 water reservoir, which makes 12 cups of coffee. I make that pot when I get up. So far, so good. The problem is that she make single cups of coffee, tea, coco & also uses it to make cups of soup. Basically, any time she makes a hot drink she uses it. That means that it seems like every time I walk through the kitchen, I have to add water to it. It's like a mini gym work out randomly all day long by picking up 3-gallon water bottles & pouring them.
