I regularly visit a website that displays photos/bios of service members killed since WW1. One of the page banners says “These men and women gave their lives to protect your freedom. What have you done today to deserve that?”

Yes it is , C47 was a modified DC3....... nicknamed The GOONIE BIRD

I have said to my husband many times lately "I'm sure glad my Dad (career fighter pilot and veteran of 3 wars) didn't live to see what is going on in the U.S. right now.
