Hey guys, just wanted to kickstart a thread relating to various sources of renewable energy (Not sure if one already exists). Discussion could be on Solar, Wind, Steam, Hydro, Geothermal or even Growable Fuel! For those interested in growable fuel, here is a segment I came across in a show relating to the use of sugar cane. Through a process of purifying the alcohol content of Sugar Cane, we can make usable fuel to power a generator.

There are a lot of designs out there for wood gassifiers that can be hooked up to a regular internal combustion engine. They can be used to produce electricity in SHTF situations where the normal distribution of fuel and power would be interrupted. They were originally invented by Germans who were looking for alternatives during WWII due to Ally disruption of supplies.
