Is this the correct section to post this in...?
If you have heard of rocket stoves, have made one or more, use one, please post.
When I first heard of it I didn't know what to expect then I watched one being used to "cook" up some hot dogs right quick. Awesome thing for AHTF and you need to cook.

The one I saw used, was handmade by a guy we know and he makes and sells them. He uses cast iron and they are actually small for what's going on within, about 2 ft. tall, seriously think they were 4"x4" around. Lots of info on the www for making your own, etc.

There are dozens of ways to make rocket stoves ,this one is easy cheap and real quick.

SHTF rocket stove.

I made the brick one.
Works like a charm.
I got the local brick works where I brought the blocks from to cut the end off one to make the burn chamber.
Total cost was approx. $45.

I can also recommend twig stoves that you can pick up on ebay for $20.
They burn small twigs and burn hot and long on tiny amounts of fuel.
Good for getting the water boiled in the morning for that first cup of tea.
They reburn the wood gas that is released when wood is burnt so there is very little smoke.

Use the brick rocket stove for big jobs and the twig stove set up on the rocket stove bricks for small jobs.
