Many nations claim a larger airspace than is internationally recognized (we are no exception)....so these kinds of encounters are pretty frequent really. I wouldn't put too much stock or worry into them. Kind of routine really.

When I was a kid something like this happened with China. I remember it almost turning into a big deal cause they wanted an apology or something...have to look it up.

Happens with sea boundaries too, with ships, all the time.
