With having my kids BOB to finish and now building kits for future vehicles that are right around the corner I have been buying mine on eBay. The price for the new edition sucks donkey... so I have been buying the older used editions for around $4 or 5.00 but like it is on eBay stock on hand and price is subject to change.

I looked at my older editions and then looked at my newer edition and compared them. There is not really any noticeable difference. I'll save the $10.00 or so.

I have purchased several copies from Amazon. I gave a couple away and accidentally dropped one copy in water. Very useful little book.

Yes I love it. It reminds me of the US Army Survival Manual but pocket sized. If anyone reading this and doesn't know the SAS Survival Handbook is awesome. It is truly a pocket sized guide. I put all of ours in ziplock bags for the individual bug out bags and vehicle bags.

One thing I was taught in Army Quartermaster School is you cannot memorize everything. You have to memorize where to look for your answers. In survival yeah train and learn what you can but when you get under stress you pray your training and muscle memory takes over but some times you forget things. This is when a good small lightweight guide will take over for you.

Great size book to bring out next to the campfire and plan out skills to practice. Have a second copy that never leaves the BOB.

Because of its compact size I keep a copy in everything. Vehicle bags, BOB and my hunting pack if I hunt away from the house. My only wish is that it was that waterproof paper but that would add to the thickness.
