Two things pop into my mind:Seeking to preserve this "solution," Trudeau and most of his fellow Liberals who last month unwittingly applauded a veteran Waffen-SS Nazi joined the Bloc Quebecois in defeating the bill in a vote of 167 to 150.
Jeff Gunnarson, president of the Campaign Life Coalition, said, "MAiD, which is really about permitting the strong and healthy to kill the weak and sick under the veneer of autonomy, has now been expanded to include those who are not dying but are living with disabilities, including those living with mental illness. There is now talk in Federal committees of expanding this service to 'mature minor' children, and even infants."
The Canadian government honours a known NAZI. In the next breath they shot down a bill that would prevent the government from euthanizing their disabled citizens. Why would the government want the ability to kill their own citizens, citizens that are innocent of any crime. Citizens that are not legally competent to make decisions or sign contracts. With eugenics being a big brick in the NAZI foundation it is not a far reach to connect the two.Wait a minute guys, is this bill authorizing the Canadian government to initiate euthanasia of people? Or is it just allowing individuals that have requested euthanasia themselves (or maybe by their medical guardians) to indeed be euthanized? Big difference. I don't agree with people obtaining assisted suicide without some review (medical review that is, not from the government). A request from someone who is mentally ill certainly should have some review. However, if death is truly their wish, it is their wish and I am not going to jump in, apply my personal morals, and try to stop them. If they don't get their requested medical euthanasia, they're just going to euthanize themselves in some other horrible way.
However, this is my personal view and is subject to discussion. There are some very good points against my current view. But I sense in other places I've heard about this (not here on these forums, yet, anyway) people are trying to turn the discussion into something it's not - about the government initiating the killing of individuals. This illegitimate switcharoo does nobody any good. By falsely portraying it as a government initiated killing, the people insinuating this are not doing their cause any good. Hopefully the discussion will not move in that direction here. But I fear it might. Conspiracy theories tend to run rampant once they grab hold, unchecked by logic or truth.
MANY governments aided in deaths with covid!! Hospitals here got a tens of thousands for each person who died with/from covid! Respirators were misused, treatments with useful drugs withheld!! People were killed to instill fear in others, look how many are dying from covid, now run out and get a so called vaccine while wearing any type of useless face cover!! And just for the record, co(corona) vi(virus) d(disease), a virus is NOT a disease, they knew this would cause disease!Even some Canadians now say their govt is Communist. I certainly wouldn't trust that they won't eventually make the decision for those they deem mentally ill.
And like many things, does the government need to be involved with this? In "It's a Wonderful Life", Clarence tells his boss angel that suicide is illegal. It should be. The government does not need to aid in death.
