I think that there is a big difference in flirting a little and letting a woman know you are interested vs being in a powerful posistion and using that to try and force someone into doing things they don’t want to do. I do think a lot of this is a witch hunt though. There are truly some pigs out there that have abused their power for years with no fear of repercussions though. Hopefully this will prevent some of the worse behavior. I am amazed at how many simply look the other way at the twelve women that accused Trump. I guess he gets to play by a different set of rules.

this really did not catch my attention until Bill Cosby came under fire, every women he ever touched has screamed foul ,,,,,,which to me is bullchit many of the acquisition are decades old,I believe a lot of this is simply one woman came out and complained maybe it was a ligit complaint but most are just piling to get even for a imagined slight ,,

,if this had happened while Clinton was in office Slick Willy (BILL CLINTON) would have been hung by his balls until he was dead

Brent, maybe but when what happened was not bad enough to get attention when it happened why bring it up 10-20 or 30 years later,???????????

When some of these hollyweird starlets were unknown, they had no issue using sex and said nothing, after getting the big break and that first big part and many parts afterward and becoming wealthy......now they come out with the sexual misconduct they endured....funny when they were nobody the so called sexual misconduct was ok and no need to call police and report it or file charges....all a bunch of politics and BS....well planned and carried out....

First I want to be clear, I do not condone genuine sexual harassment or sick perverted sexual predators like Weinstein, Spacey and Slick Willy.

But I think the #MeToo hashtag says it all. Nearly all of this is "he said/she said" stuff with no material evidence but now suddenly "she said" carries more weight than "he said" and it's "trendy" to jump on the bandwagon to get your 15 minutes of fame.

I agree that there is political motivation behind some of them, but I figure when multiple women come out it’s a sign there’s a problem. When Cosby was first accused I was thinking, yeah she’s just trying to extort money. Several weeks later when there were 8 or so, I started to believe he was a predator. What was it total now, 28ish? Sure throw out 6 or 7 nutcases,, but that’s still enough women showing a pattern of abuse. Using drugs to incapacitate someone so you can have your way should be a crime. This Roy guy from Alabama, sure it may have been years ago, but considering that he was one preaching family values to everyone, he did seem to have a taste for young girls. As far as them being silent for years, I think most young girls would be ashamed and afraid to say anything against a respected community leader. I’ve found the ones in life that preach the loudest usually have more skeletons in the closet than most.

Brent, have you actually read the "accusations" against Moore? I have. He said when he got out of the military, he dated younger women. Most of the accusations are something like "he asked me out." WOW, how terrible! Interesting that nobody actually accused him of actually doing anything sexual beyond kissing on a date, just "attempting" to do something. No proof whatsoever. The only material proof of anything was a signature in a yearbook that we now know was doctored.

Moore said: “I don’t remember ever dating a girl without the permission of her mother.” The "accusers" actually back this up. He had permission from the mothers of the girls he dated (remember, this was 40 years ago, and he was a young man, not a "dirty old man")

Living in Alabama, I've heard it all. Hell, there was a preacher who has said he'd believe Roy before believing Jesus.

I know people who have said Roy liked them young. 40 years ago, Roy was around 32 years old. When I was 32, I didn't pay any attention to teenagers. Hell, I remembered what they were like. Why would Roy want to date a teenager? Purity? I've heard that excuse. I don't know.

I do know that the Gadsden police were told to keep him away from the cheerleaders at the high school games. That bothers me. The last time I hit on a high school cheerleader, I was in high school.....

I'm not defending anybody, but damn.....

Edit to add: Fox News reported the change to the signature in the yearbook. They pulled the story back after it was found to be that the woman added the date and place of the signature.

Gary (Gadsden Police Officer Lt. Faye Gary) explained that the Gadsden Police Department never actually received a complaint about Moore, despite those “rumors” and said being a juvenile detective, if a complaint had come in it would have gone to her and her division at the police department. She also said she had never thought Moore was seeking out teenage women, but women “maybe in their 20s.”

“When it was heard on a daily basis — every day we were looking for a complaint to come in,” she said. “And I didn’t realize until sometime later that when they said he liked young girls, I just thought he liked young ladies, you know, younger than him, maybe in their 20s. I had no idea, or we had no idea, that we were talking about 14-year-olds. But we never got a complaint on it.”

“We never thought it was teenagers,” she added. “But you know, there was nothing we could really do about it until we got an actual complaint and we never got a complaint on it.”

I saw one woman said he tried to forceably put her head in his lap before she was able to get out of the car. I also saw that the signed yearbook wasn’t a fake, she just added a note under it later on. What he wrote was real, although I agree that “the sweetest dear girl” (or something similar to that) wasn’t exactly a horrible thing. Compared to Cosby, I don’t think he is anywhere near the same. On the same note, I feel Frankin resigned for reasons about on par with Roy’s.

Could be. I wasn't there. Like I said, I'm not defending either side. It does concern me that there is a lot of smoke, but given today's news (BOTH sides), you can't believe any of it any more.

A former coworker's dad was a cop in Gadsden 40 years ago, who made it to captain. He said that Roy was always chasing teenagers.

Like I said, I'm not defending him or the accusers. Just stating what I've heard. Either way, if he's elected, it is because Alabama is backwards as hell. If not, then it was all BS that caused him to lose. Should be interesting to watch. I do know that his ads played on TV say that his opponent 'supports full term abortions', which I don't believe. They say that the opponent is soft on crime.... Jones prosecuted (and won, by the way) 2 of the people responsible for the Birmingham church bomb in 1963.

Who wins basically works out to who gets the voters out. I suspect that Roy may do just that. Bet there is a lot of preaching about that today....

I believe he will probably still win. Sometimes I wonder if the average people are even smart enough to have the right to vote though. Marion Berry comes to mind... he was caught on camera buying and using crack before the election and they still elected him! Seriously, I almost wish there was an IQ test before getting your voter ID.....
As far as ole Roy, there’s definitely some truth to the accusations of him chasing underage girls. Too much stuff out there to be completely ignored. I think I am more disturbed about trump endorsing him and flatly calling the women liars.

Let me expand on what Doc said.

First, most of the accusations were from legal-aged girls. Younger, yes, but nothing illegal.

There are 2 girls who claim they were under aged, which would have been a crime had anything actually happened (which nobody is claiming did, just trying to kiss type of stuff). One of those women has been caught in lie after lie (she wrote in half of the yearbook comment for example). There has been no verification that the other half was actually written by Moore BTW, they refuse to submit it for testing. The other girl's brother was put into prison by Moore, LOTS of motivation for her wanting vengeance.

I find most appalling is the history of the democrats. Clinton assaulted and raped a whole lot of women. One man claims to be Billy-boys son and of course Clinton refuses to do a DNA test. Many other claims are that Chelsea isn't his daughter, and of course no DNA testing there either. And of course no talk about Clinton's many plane rides down to that billionaire's island full of underaged girls. Ted Kennedy is notorious for sexually harassing girls, leaving one to die in a car underwater while he went to sleep off his buzz. The greater the democrat, the more women were abused. And this party are now talking about fake news about Roy Moore? Wow, Obama had it right, this should be called "The Audacity of Hope" (hope that people don't remember Clinton/Kennedy/etc). Audacity is the word of the day.

So for Alabama, it comes to this
Door #1: Judge Roy Moore. Solid conservative past. Definitely would vote the 'right' way for the next 6 years. And a 'drain the swamp' guy. Unverified behavior with teenagers 40 years ago, nothing in the past 35+ years.

Door #2: Liberal Doug Jones. I'd expect solid liberal votes for every day of 6 years. No information about his background, the media never investigate (or pay people to lie about) democrats. So who knows if he likes teenage girls, boys, horses, or worse. This guy is the poster child for the swamp.

If you want to find someone who's never done anything wrong, good luck. Show me a single guy (in Congress or anywhere) who doesn't have a past and a few chinks in the armor. Of course I'd rather none of these accusations even surfaced and that Moore was pure as the driven snow. But just weigh the options and chose. Door #1 or Door #2, there are no other options at this point.
