Good read and interesting points.
Indeed it is.
He hits the major points:
A. Actually
have a gun when you need it.
B. Have a gun setup that actually works.
C. Actually be able to hit
something in a situation.
One of the main reasons we ran the Zombie Hunt course. A 'practical-tactical' exercise for people to test their SHTF gun setups.
To make it as close to real as we could, the shooter:
Doesn't know how many targets there are.
Doesn't know where they are.
Doesn't know how far away they are.
Doesn't know what they look like.
Doesn't know how they will move.
Has to walk on uneven ground and shoot uphill and downhill.
I like nothing better than when a "
professional" competition shooter decides it's going to be a cakewalk to ace the course since the timer is not important...
and gets surprised.
My favorite phrases to hear:
"I was totally unprepared for that!"
"This gun setup doesn't work!"
"I couldn't see sh*t thru this sight!":bang Head:
