Update

It went back to Jackson for the THIRD time


Tracking shows it has left Jackson
Normally, Packages leave Jackson and come to my post office
Taking bets if this comes here tomorrow

I think the Boys in the sorting room need to lay off the icky sticky

I have informed delivery, and noticed that I can change the mailing address
Soooooo. I changed the mailing address
Back to what it was. And included the tracking number
I just got an update that it is “supposed “ to arrive at my post office tonight for tomorrow’s delivery
Maybe:maybe not

Aaaand.....................USPS is increasing their rates by 2% for 2024, that'll fix it.

Probably to help cover all the gas they use driving the packages all across the country.

I’m sorry. I should not be laughing but a couple years ago I sent my aunt a Christmas present with plenty of time to get there from WA to CA. It ended up in FL and CO before making it back to CA after New Year’s. Saving grace was she’s retired from the PO so we harassed her about PO workers (she laughs).

This is humorous, but sad to watch.
If you read the very first post, it was at exactly the same facility in Mobile on October 4th .
... I still think @zannej put a curse on it.

At least they are keeping you informed. In 2020, I ordered some documents from Nebraska for my genealogy work. My grandfather had a half brother and my aunts and uncles never knew about him. He was born in 1907 and died New Years 1909. I ordered and paid for the documents. I have yet to receive those documents. I emailed the office that I ordered them from. Yes, they shipped those documents. They have a record of that. Nope, they never came. I think that some people don't care about other people's mail if and when they receive it.

Yeah, just yesterday DW put a birthday card in the mailbox box to go out to her aunt and put the flag up.
Never got picked up.
I'm guessing he didn't want to make a trip back to the PO just for one stinkin' letter.
Surprise, the mail ran today at 11am (way early ).
I got the mail and reset the 'door-has-been-opened' flag.
Then I looked out at 3pm (normal mail time) and that flag was back up.
Got today's mail then.
Edit: I should post a pic of our mailbox with the wonderful second flag that says: "the mail has run".
I never have to go out and check an empty mailbox for mail anymore.

Yeah I did forget.
But it must not have been much of a holiday for our guy if he had to run his route twice today, once for Monday, and again for tuesday.
