I’ve been half-interested in watching the inane and insane boob tube lately, just to see the present state of television shows. It seems to be a mixture of soft pornography (i.e. Love Island) and mindless comedy (i.e. Bob ❤ Abishola). I’m not surprised that the population of Amerika is being dumbed down if they are watching this garbage.

I only watch news (some channels) and the sort of mystery genera you get (bigfoot, UFOs, cryptozoology). Nature and Nova used to be good on PBS but have degenerated. We had at one time UCTV which was largely scientists explaining their findings. They took UCTV off Dish so it is gone now. I watch a weather channel if the girl doing the weather happens to be hot. War Room with Stephen K. Bannon is my favorite show right now.

Use to watch the History Channel when it actually had programs about history.

I used to watch The American Heroes Channel (formerly The Military Channel), until they started to repeat the same tired documentaries ad naseum. Then they became fixated on a ‘Nazi theme’. When I saw a episode entitled ‘Nazi Killer Bugs’ I knew it was time to switch channels.

The only TV show I watch now is a Turkish TV show about the founder of the Ottoman Empire, Osman I, that gets uploaded on the web with English subtitles.
Each episode is 2 hours and 15 minutes (with commercials cut out). The actors (and actresses) have to do their own stunts, including sword fighting, shooting bows, and horseback riding, and spend months training for it.

I discovered the "mute" button on the remote and now mute commercials out entirely (especially My Pillow commercials). The mute button makes TV a lot more enjoyable.
I use the pause button and then go do something else. It'll pause up to an hour and I can fast forward through the commercials. Or I record what I want to watch and cut out the commercials.

it's not exactly TV - it's the in between wasted time for commercials >>> you know you're not alone when the late nite comedy host make fun of it - Adam Corrollo had a tombstone with "Death of White Couples on TV Commercials" - "2021"
That is true. I had a post about a month ago about commercials. A friends daughter was told she had everything to be a model, but he could not hire her because she was white. Plus every other commercial has a same sex couple. The % of Americans identifying as gender screwed up has quadrupled in last decade.

I met Jim Nabors at our church (before he came out of the closet).

I used to travel through Sylacauga Alabama fairly often when I lived in Auburn (Sylacauga was on the highway to Birmingham). I always wondered if they disowned him when they found out. LOL.

I discovered the "off" button 18 years ago. It made TV bearable.
This is even better!

Most commercials now are all people of color or inter-racial, and homosexuals. So the table has turned! All whites now play the moron parts. Don't hold your breath on the medicare advantage commercials ending this month either as there is extended period into January and then another extension into March...(for those with specific circumstances). I watch some cooking shows, and some travel channels as well as the Circle channel with Grand old Opry, Hee Haw, blugrass and old country music shows, etc..lol...I'm kind of stuck in a time warp and I'm an admitted 50s, 60s and 70s junkie as far as music and television go..."I miss Mayberry" even though we know it is/was all an illusion...No way could anyone get away with the HeeHaw show nowadays...im in shock they still allow access to that show given the current mind set of the world...but I'm loving every re-run! Shame on me and my simple, lighthearted, nod to reality mind! HEE HAW!

One day, we will all admit to being the same way. Every generation says:
Remember the GOOD OLD DAYS? Wish we had them again.
Well in the good old days of 60s/70s, the blacks were still demonstrating...
In the good old days of the 40s/50s, we had WWII and Korea...
In the 30s, we had a man-made depression and the banks bought cheap farms up like doughnuts.
In the early century, we had WWI and got sold out to the Rothschilds family...
In the good old days, they had their own problems, but now, we wish for those "then-bad problems" and now looking at todays world, I can almost wish we had the technology and problems that they so hated. They would all be turning over in their graves to find out what has happened to their beloved America for which they so lovingly LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES FOR!!
MAGA will only happen when another Civil War brings down the DS and the technological chaos they have built for reasons unknown, unwanted and un-human...we must start from scratch. They will scratch the money, scratch the credit system, scratch the owning of anything and scratch us from the earth if this goes on much longer. They want a 20 % rich and famous percent ruling class and an 80% peasantry again...Hollywood has shown us in many films how that will look and function already...get your popcorn friends...live free, Gary

I think the first homosexual I ever saw on television, was Samantha"s uncle or cousin on Bewitched. Now it seems every show has to have at least a token homo. It also seems teachers make a big point of telling our kids how right and natural it is to be queer.

ever read the backstage expose on Bewitched? - I was only a kid and Hollyweird kept it quiet >>> entire fricking production company was nothing but the worst kind of gay - the first "Darren" was one of the first Aids - bunch more had it - Agnes Moorehead used the show to recruit strait girls into her bed .....
