How many of you have television service?

I just recently got internet and television installed where we live, after almost 3 years of not having it. I usually would have just said "NO THANKS!" to television, but it cost just about the same to add it to my internet. I also have a house phone now that I haven't used yet.

Anyhow, if you have television, what do you watch?? Are there any good shows for preppers on basic cable? I've heard the Walking Dead is good and it is on tonight! Or should I just cancel my subscription before i rot my brains out??

Thank you!

Amir

I enjoy a good wrastlin match on WWE. I'll also watch collegiate wrastlin when it's on. Then of course outdoors show, like huntin and fishin shows.

i love watching 'The Real O'Neals', 'Star Trek', and '2 Broke Girls'

Nope. Haven't had TV in almost two years. Once the house is built I'll get satellite TV again. Most everything on TV is junk but there are a few programs on Discovery and the History channel that I like.

Thank you very much for all recommendations! I will try to watch them all and perhaps revisit the topic. More are still welcome though of course!

I have cable TV, but hardly every watch it. We have gotten totally spoiled on watching what we want when we want on Netflix and Amazon. Having to tune to a particular channel at a particular time each week seems so inconvenient now.

What cable shows I do watch are recorded, and I watch when I want.

we have something called "freeview" tv which I think is something like your basic cable, its just something to watch on a wet winters night, but apart from reruns of Ray Mears, Mountain men and building Alaska its all rubbish, I've just got it for the news channels mainly. once the spring comes we'll be out more.

Depends on what you like (and what channels you have). I love the Walking Dead, but it isn't very realistic on prepping. Game of Thrones is good. For comedy, Big Bang Theory is still good. I love Ash vs. the Evil Dead. There are some decent survival shows on the educational/nature channels. I also like Gotham (Batman before he was Batman), and some other shows too. There's decent stuff if you look for it.

I dont watch much tv. No time for it really. But the kids do enjoy it.

Instead of getting cable we have wireless internet and a couple firesticks. Hulu netflix and after we jailbroke it we are able to watch new movies.

It allows you to get underground channels with pirated movies and what not.

Netflix is ok. I mean its only like 7 bucks a month. But they dont update with new shows very often.

my mom loves the older shows.like from the 1950's on back..but then again, she grew up watching them,so yes she watches them..then there's the shows i'll with her, time to time..artful detective.the home buying shows, like buying alaska.then there's the ones i enjoy.some,if not most.are what i consider a prepper show at least up to a point.then there's the ones,i simply enjoy watching.and yes i have a list of them...lol...but yet.i normally dont start watching tv untill 4 or 5 pm..

Holy cow! Thanks for the list! That should help keep me busy for the year!

Showbox has pretty much everything I'd want. Watched Dr. Strange at home the other night....
