Yessir everyone is traceable today. It doesn't matter where you are. If your on the internet your leaving digital footprints. If your on Google or on the phone....privacy is a thing of the past.

I'm betting they fled an impending attack and were then killed elsewhere...hence no bodies in the town.

And people are worried about life today. I think living back then would be far more terrifying.

People used to die from chicken pox, common colds and just vanish into thin air never to be seen or heard from again.

People back then must have had balls of steel.

What choice did they have though?

Man, would have been a tough time to be alive though. I just don't get how folks survived winter in those days.

Many didn't. Though today we are pretty much spoiled, in those times people were accustom to the cold nights and winter days it was just a matter of fact. Today people freak out if they can't shower/bath everyday, put today's people in an environment were one is lucky to bath just once during the month many didn't even bath during the winter months. Out here many of us would wash up with snow and a rag and or not bath/shower in a week. People back in those days were a different breed, even us who talk of roughing it today have no comparison to them folks of the 16th century, we are wimps in comparison. I have a great deal of respect and admiration who knew the true meaning of perseverance, today we have the luxury to choose the option to live without the modern convinces, I certainly don't want to return and live in them times were we didn't have the options or having to make life and death choices on a daily bases, that would truly suck.

I hear and read a lot of **** were some in the prepping community want to return to them kind of times, those people have no g'damn clue what they are wishing for, they are not even close to that kind of hardness!

Well said.

Well, that's why I live in FL, hehe. No way am I trying to make it through a damn winter up north with pre-industrial tech. Why bother? Go south.

The cold has it's good points.. if prepared. Diffidently a lot of areas in the South I love preferably in the Ozark if not than Ouachita, though still have good choices up around the Smokey mountains, Appalachian mountains. Na, I got to be in the mountain ranges, Florida though I do love but isn't high enough for me plus really a lot of people plus just too many nuclear reactors in and around the South for my liking.
