Being ev cars pay no state or federal gas tax to be fair and inclusive to the rest of us all tax should end , right!
A mileage tax.I like what you think but there's no way the gas taxes will end. They're just working out ways to tax the EV cars to get the revenue.
Only if you have a new car. They currently do not have the ability to verify mileage on older cars, unless they trust us. Well, we all know that won't happen! You car will report your mileage.
They will mandate a device for older cars.Only if you have a new car. They currently do not have the ability to verify mileage on older cars, unless they trust us. Well, we all know that won't happen!
A mileage tax.
They've been working on that for a long time.

I have 2 old vehicles that only have to have the speedo cable disconnected and there is no way to track the mileage. Speed? Go with the flow but we all know from experience we can judge our speed just by the look out the windshield.Only if you have a new car. It would have to be some sort of GPS device that would need a connection to the battery and/or an antenna. Disconnect the wire or wrap the antenna in aluminium foil and they wont be able to track the movement. Or, take it out 5 or 6 days a week. They will mandate a device for older cars.
I just had a thought. I wonder when someone will build a trailer with a battery bank so EV's can travel further between charges. To fill a Tesla in California, now costs you $72 to drive 230 miles. My lexus hybrid costs me $55 to fill up, and has a 500 mile range. Who is screwing whom, Mr. President?
Add a gas tank and generator!I just had a thought. I wonder when someone will build a trailer with a battery bank so EV's can travel further between charges.
