That's what I didn't understand eithert Jontte. The initial report was that he never encountered Cruz. Hunny and I were talking about it that night. With the campus being as large as it was and with so many building's we speculated that maybe he didn't hear or find which building it was coming from cause shots were muffled by being inside, or was maybe even a renta a cop but now reports like this. It was a failure on so many levels with law enforcement.

The kid was only in there six minutes, start to finish: my guess is the security guy couldn't even find him. I don't blame the guard: six minutes is really fast, and the campus is huge. Cruz took off his weapons and ran out with the other kids. He really doesn't seem to have thought he'd be caught -- he had a pretty good plan for getting away, in fact, but he chose the school he had gone to, where people recognized him.

Yes, you're right: I just saw this on Reuters. He did get to the right building while the shooting was going on, but didn't go in.

My guess is you are right. Sad --- and there is no use scapegoating him, but people will. The fact is, Nikolas Crus is wholly responsible for what he did.

What is disconcerting me is I just now read that schools all over the country are getting overwhelmed with threats. Unprecedented levels. I don't think that happened before --- you'd think it would be the opposite, but it must the underlying level of hostility of the populace, or else kids wanting the excitement and attention.

The info the FBI and local LEO had was enough to stop this . Watch how Law Enforcement reacts to a simple tip My Home got SWAT'ed because a neighbor didn't like how much We were shooting one day . In this case you have the wrong People drawing a paycheck and running things from a desk .
