On another prepping forum someone is asking is the JOKER a film that is in someway reflective of the dangerous way society is moving?

I DONT KNOW

But

Not being a city citizen any more, and even when I did I dont recognise THE JOKER as a reflection on modern society, certainly not the the provincial northern cities I have to enter for work. However the reporting in the MSM from the Mail to the Guardian, BBC to Fox clearly shows there is some serious critical unbalance in the larger cities like London, Birmingham, Chicago, San Francisco, Baltimore, LA etc. Society in those burgs appears to be fragmenting into ever more extreme factions. Left, Right, Rich, Poorer, Poor, Gender, Faith, Cultural, Tribal, even skin colour ?? etc. Even the former political middle ground has taken an extreme stance in the UK with the Liberal Democracts now saying thy will not respect Democratic referendums. Fragmentation among environmental campaigners wanting to protect our green bits is in conflict with other environmental campaigners who want to build more affordable eco / green/ sustainable eco houses and villages. Factions fighting between left leaning / green activists over building new railway lines for PUBLIC TRANSPORT systems in conflict with others from the same group not wanting the lines built in the countryside to protect public green spaces. Add mass migration globally, nationally and issues of ghettoisation and mono cultural neighbourhoods just for the fun of it.
I even noted one group fighting for more fresh potable healthy clean water supplies by building more reservoirs and replacing all the leaky pipes in the south east in conflict with another group of people not wanting new reservoirs being built. Campaigners for more renewable energy wind farms / solar farms/ biomass plantations to reduce reliance on fossil fuels in conflict with other equally green campaigners not wanting turbines and arrays in their bit of countryside. Then of course the pro / anti right to life issues, the pro anti civilian right to arm law abiding citizens as a response to a totally failing police and judiciary system, the pro airport expansion lobby versus the clean air crowd, The faction saying people who should only be allowed to RENT not own their own home and homes being distributed according to need versus free market economists and right to choose lobby.
The list of division is I believe in many cities attributed to ONE single cause that many people refuse to even acknowledge never mind debate. TO MANY PEOPLE wanting a share of ever diminishing resources such as jobs, houses, land, food, healthcare, leisure space, simple room to live etc. We are at the moment where the equation goes " it does not matter how much more we increase taxation to fund more essentials in life, the returns are ever diminishing returns for ever more investment". Ever more people wanting more and more resources on an island with fixed limited resources = trouble.

Basically we have blown it because no one will talk about just how many people can the land support and still retain good or improving quality of life WITHOUT damaging the very land, sea and air we need to live. This leads to fighting between factions for the ever dwindling resources. In time debates become demands, campaigning becomes protest becomes riots becomes insurrection becomes civil war AKA Venezuela . Even in the massive United states of Haliburton WATER is becoming critical in the far west (Cal) and the Mid West as the biggest Aquifer is becoming tained with sea water because of over extraction.

The blue touch paper has been lit and no one can put it out, because no one will accept their is a problem. Finite resources versus to many people in a confined space. No one can fix the problem its only going to get worse until like most previous empires/ cultures and civilisations in history it collapses or implodes. We can only PREP to try and survive what I personally feel is inevitable and unavoidable, We can reduce the risks to us as preppers by being preppers, every little helps for storing a bit more grub to being 50 times more situationally aware on the streets at night to the best overall prep of finding a way to live as offgrid as possible outside the bigger cities and towns. The Joker is good food for thought as was the TV series Jericho, but representative ??? Who knows?

I have no answer to the problem except to protect my own people , my own loved ones by prepping even more.

Come Florence !

no its just another crappy modern film/movie.
