And by the way we spent R 8 billion on them all 3 is out of service.

1. Damaged when leaving the harbour, pilot error.
2. Connected the the wiring to recharge the batteries incorrectly, blew them all, have to be replaced at R 35 000 000 for one.
3. Driven in to the ocean bed, pilot error.

When we received them from Germany the crews were sent for training in Germany, two months later Germany said that the crews were untrainable and insisted that they deliver the submarines to SA government themselves.

These "little" things places so much more strain on an economy already in tatters, things are really looking bleak around here, hopefully there is a lul before the storm really breaks.
