One of the things Nazis and Communists have in common...once they secure power, factions that don't align completely with the party leader are brutally eliminated. "Night of the Long Knives" in Germany, "The Great Purge" in the Soviet Union. "The Cultural Revolution" in China.

Communists don't tolerate dissent of any kind once they have power. We've already seen what their idea of "Freedom of Speech" is.

The LGBT (and whatever other letters they've added) community should take special notice with what happened to "Gay Rights" in the Soviet Union.

Initially in the Soviet Union, homosexuality was decriminalized and all forms of sanction again homosexuality were eliminated. Then in the 1920s it was decided that homosexuality was a mental illness that needed to be cured. Then in 1933 Stalin recriminalized homosexuality carrying a penalty of five years hard labor. Then Soviet propaganda politicized it by portraying homosexuality as a sign of Western fascist decadence. In 1936, Justice Commissar Nikolai Krylenko publicly stated that the anti-gay criminal law was correctly aimed at the decadent and effete old ruling classes.
